During a winter evening in 1979, the arrest of anti-government protesters involved in the Formosa Incident is underway. While the city is under curfew, a teenage student follows a mysterious young man from a riverside path into an abandoned hut. When the student is later caught by a plain-clothes police officer, the young man chooses to turn a blind eye.
